Job role:               Full time restaurant manager

Location:              Porthmeor Beach

                            St.Ives

                           Cornwall

                           TR26 1JZ

Rate of pay:        £30,000 - £32,500 annum, paid monthly

Hours:                March till November – 55 hours per week on average over 5 days a week with 7 holiday days

                           November till March – 38 hours per week on average over 5 days with 25 holiday days   

                           Extra notes - The restaurant is closed on Christmas and Boxing Day and New Year Eve evening and New Year Day. You will                       be expected to work 27th December till 31st December and all bank holidays through the year.

Start date:             23rd September 2019

Applicants will need to demonstrate

                             A passion for hospitality, people and food

                             Excellent communication and customer service skills 

                             Experience in previous high-volume restaurant management

                             Management experience in rotas/ staff discipline / wage percentage / bar work/ ordering / customer complaints

 

Job purpose       Oversea and coordinate the running and training of staff for a busy restaurant on a day to day basic to achieve a happy             positive atmosphere for customers and staff. This is a shared job role, working opposite shifts with equal responsibility with another like-minded manger.

 

Task / Responsibilities

                           Responsible for day to day restaurant operation, with hands on approach

                           Responsibilities for maintaining a high level of customers service

                           To effectively delegate jobs 

                           responsibility for staff and training

                           communication with management/owner across the company to ensure the efficient running of the business with customer             service at the fore front 

                            work with management/owner to control wage 

                            write rotas and control staff holidays

                           plan wine and cocktail menus with owner/mangers

                           learn food menu and be responsible for allergy sheets and allergy staff training 

                           responsibility for cashing up and opening up restaurant and keeping a high standard of cleanliness
