Detailed Job Description

Adrian Carr Catering are looking for an apprentice to join their small but busy team, learn the trade whilst working towards gaining a level 2 qualification!
• Be open to training and development and aim for continual development of your skills as a chef through on the job training at work.
• Demonstrate the ability to apply skills acquired at college, for example technical food knowledge, maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen, and all areas of best practice in relation to food preparation and the kitchen environment.
• Fully participate in a team effort, contributing and cooperating with colleagues to achieve Company objectives.
• Uphold the organisation’s image and reputation.
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures (including health and safety, business targets, induction manual etc).
• Manage your time effectively and demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Recognise your potential impact on the business.
• Any other reasonable task as deemed necessary by the management team.
• Build and maintain good methods of communication between yourself, your line manager and all other members of staff.
• Attend any relevant kitchen/staff meetings as directed by the senior chef.

Qualifications Required

None required, however, maths and english will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Future Prospects

There is the potential for a full time position after completion and possible movement through the company's other sites

Earliest start time 9.30am latest finish time 9.30pm
1-2-1 tuition in a small kitchen, Visits to suppliers and working in the business's other kitchen

HTM Food Production pathway Level 2
Maths and English if required

Expected Duration

52 weeks

Working Week

30 over 5 days including evenings and weekends

Things to consider

Long hours, split shifts, unsocial hours, possibility for overtime during busy periods.
