Assistant Manager

The Hawthorns Eastbourne are currently seeking an experienced hospitality professional to join us as Assistant Manager at our luxury retirement living facility. As Assistant Manager, you will provide support to the General Manager across all aspects of management, providing a safe, customer focused and hospitable environment for residents and visitors.

The key responsibilities of our Assistant Manager role include:

  • Participating in the planning of all programmes and requirements necessary to make the facility profitable and successful, ensuring that we are working within the allocated budgets
  • Working closely with Department Heads to ensure the effective management and smooth running of all departments in the service
  • Maintaining an enriching environment for the benefit of our residents
  • Delegating responsibilities as appropriate to other staff members in order to meet the needs of the facility
  • Performing, if necessary, any facility staff duties for continual operation of the facility
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the General Manager or other Assistant Managers
  • Keeping the Regional Manager, General Manager and other Assistant Managers informed on the status of the facility
