Detailed Job Description

Chipping Sodbury Golf Club is a busy golf club, catering for members, visitors and regular lunchtime and evening function business, including carveries.
They are now looking for an Apprentice Chef to joint their busy kitchen team, to learn the trade and work to gain a Level 2 Commis chef qualification.
Duties to include:
Prepare, cook and present dishes according to specification
Be an excellent communicator, a team player, with good customer service skills.
Ensure accurate records are kept at all times relating to the food production and wastage.
Ensure that all foods are labelled, stored and handled in accordance with the venue and Health and Safety requirements.
Ensure good hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen including cleaning down of the kitchen, and washing up.
Be able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

Qualifications Required

None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Future Prospects

Continued employment as Assistant Chef, dependent on job availability at the club at that time.

30 Hours a week

Things to consider

Varied hours and days of work each week – including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. No split shifts required.
Average 30 hours – usually over 4/5 shifts over 7 day period - including weekends
