Detailed Job Description

An opportunity for an enthusiastic and career minded apprentice chef has arisen at HF Holidays. The purpose of the role is to provide an exceptional service to all of their guests. Alongside learning the trade, the successful applicant will work towards gaining a Level 2 Production Chef Qualification.
The Peveril of the Peak, named after Sir Walter Scott’s novel, is set in extensive grounds in the village of Thorpe. This quaint Country House is less than a mile from the famous stepping stones at the entrance to Derbyshire’s Dovedale gorge – perfect for all levels of adventure seekers!
The Country House provides full board to its guests, as an Apprentice Chef you will be cooking breakfast, lunch and evening meals.
Dutie will include:
Produce food and levels of service that wow our guests.
Present and deliver our food offering in line with company standards.
Produce the food offer in line with budget requirements.
Comply with all health and safety and food safety regulations, process and procedures.
Preparation and service of breakfast.
Prepare sweet courses.
Preparation of all garnishes for courses.
To engage with guests in a way that promotes a warm and friendly atmosphere within the house.
Work as part of the catering team supporting each other to deliver a great service.

Passion for fresh food and great ingredients with some Kitchen/Hospitality experience.

None required, however Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.
