Detailed Job Description

The Bull Broughton is a popular village pub with a modern feel in the South Leicestershire village of Broughton Astley. They pride themselves on freshly cooked, locally sourced seasonal food, an amazing atmosphere, beautiful homely interior, a roaring log fire and an alfresco dining area outside looking over the stream.
We are looking for a keen apprentice to join the kitchen team at The Bull and learn the skills of a chef starting at Commis Chef with potential for progression, alongside working to gain a Level 2 Commis Chef Qualification. If you have a passion for cooking and the eagerness to learn we would love to hear from you.
Duties to include:
- Learning Knife Skills
- Starting with food preparation and learning to cook and present dishes
- Learning food safety and stock rotation
- Maintaining clean & safe working environment at all times
- Food Preparation
- Plating up

Qualifications Required

None required, however, you will be assessed for Maths and English as part of the interview process.

Working Week

40 hours per week

Things to consider

Minimum 40 hour week, your shift will be on a rota which could include split shifts (2 shifts same day), straight shifts, evenings, weekends, bank holiday. You will therefore have to be flexible
