Available immediately - We are seeking a Senior Events Host to join a busy team and host our numerous events. Your role will be to provide quality organisation and a warm welcome, direct to clients and guests, serve food and drinks and oversee the running of an event and bar spaces, managing expectations in a busy and fast paced environment.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a competent, flexible Event manager to oversee events at The Boathouse London. You’ll ensure events are successful, well managed and run smoothly with excellent customer service.
This will currently be based on 2 of our boats in Paddington and our new cocktail bar in Canary Wharf. This role entails flexibility in out-of-hours working in order to support certain events.
What You’ll Be Doing
Onsite Management
- Set up event from start to finish according to requirements
- Act as a key holder at events ensuring that security of the building and site is maintained at all times including locking up at the end of the event.
- Develop professional relationships with the onsite client partners.
- Coordinate all operations
- Food and drink service
- Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
- Analyse the event’s success and prepare reports
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas, in line with industry best practice and recommend any changes/requirements necessary to the Director.
- Ensures that health and safety standards are maintained and action/report any hazards, as necessary.
- To be fully conversant with the site’s emergency procedures.
- Confident in problem-solving and using their initiative in challenging situations
- Customer-service orientation
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- 2 years’ experience in the service and hospitality industry or Similar experience in the Retail sector (experience in the luxury or premium luxury sector is preferable)
- Knowledge of all market segments i.e. corporate, conference
- Provide exceptional customer service that exceeds our customers' expectations.
- Respect the standards of our brand through the service provided to customers, your attitude, your behaviour and your dress code.
- Be proactive in order to help the team achieve its objectives or solve problems.
- Have a commercial flair
- Creates pride in team to deliver consistent guest experience

- Fluent English
