Commis Chef Apprentice

MP Catering are looking for a new apprentice to join the team and work within a busy kitchen creating restaurant & event based menus. You will be expected to work weekends as this is our busy time but this allows for time off during the week.

MP Catering have a fantastic opportunity for a keen chef to join their busy team, learn the trade and work towards gaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Qualification.
Duties to include:
- Preparing and cooking fresh ingredients, a variety of meats and vegetables
- Working together as part of a team
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment at all times
- Keeping paperwork up to date
- General cleaning of kitchen area
- Helping chef with all aspects of the kitchen

No qualifications required, however, maths and english will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Other Information

Long shifts, with breaks. Some days will require split shifts this is where you start at 10am till 10pm with a break in the middle.

Things to consider

You will be required to work every Friday/Saturday/Sunday as these are our working days currently, days off in the week.
30 hours, Fri, Sat, Sun split shifts 10am-10pm, sometimes straight shifts eg 10-8, 10-6
