Lv 2 Production Chef Apprentice - Wood St Nursery

You will be part of a friendly small nursery team in Walthamstow. You will learn from our experienced cook.

The role will be working directly with and line managed by our Cook. You will learn:

-To maintain excellent standards of personal, food and kitchen hygiene.

-To ensure compliance to procedures, menu specifications and recipes.

-To produce food, meeting portion controls and budgetary constraints

-To manage and adapt menus to meet special dietary, religious and allergenic requirements.

Each day you will help the cook with putting away deliveries / preparing and cooking food / serving and talking to the children about the meals / maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area and the equipment / clearing and washing up after meals.

£7.50 per hour

30 hours per week

6 hours per day with an additional half hour break

Shifts are 11 am to 5.30 pm daily, with some flexibility depending on the needs of the nursery, for example to ensure apprentices can attend team meetings as needed
