Production Chef Apprenticeship - The Old Dairy

At the Old Dairy we produce Street food inspired from around the world using fresh local ingredients! Our seasonal menu changes every few weeks and we offer daily specials so we can react to the produce available. We offer vegetarian and vegan options and cater to all dietary requirements. This will creat a great learning platform as we will only ever use free range eggs, pork and chicken, organic milk and other free range meat that is reared on small scale farms who have high ethical and animal welfare standards.

We also produce the following dishes which you will learn over the coming months:

  • Pizzas
  • Lunch and brunch
  • A range of handmade cakes and dessert.
  • Handmade ice cream
  • Savoury snacks
  • A kids menu
  • Gluten free and vegan menu options


Duties will include:


  • Preparing and cooking ingredients including fruit, meat, vegetables and occasionally fish/seafood
  • Cooking breakfast and lunches with occasional evening events
  • Making desserts and cakes and savouries as required
  • Keeping working area clean and hygienic
  • Keeping appropriate records as required
  • Washing up equipment as necessary
  • Developing new ideas with the team
