Night Auditor - London, UK

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Auditor to join our highly successful team here at Ham Yard Hotel. Your main responsibility as a Night Auditor is to take direction from the Front Office Manager and Night Manager; you will balance the end-of-day accounts for all departments and assist with the operation of the reception desk throughout the night, overseeing all the arrivals and departures to the hotel together with the front office night team. Understanding what it means to deliver exceptional customer service and be able to exceed guest’s expectations is imperative to this role. You should have a warm, friendly and welcoming manner, and genuinely care about the guest experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handling end-of-day bookkeeping, auditing and account reconciliation
  • Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
  • Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Complete check in and check outs
  • Answer any incoming calls and forward to the correct department if necessary
  • Upsell the hotel facilities or a higher category of room to the guests
  • Liaise with the housekeeping department regarding the arrivals and departures and confirm when the rooms are ready to be occupied
  • Maintain and deliver consistent Firmdale standards

Essential Key Skills

  • Previous experience working as a Night Auditor, Hotel Receptionist or Night Receptionist
  • Previous experience using the Opera system
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
  • The ability to multitask
  • Confident and warm personality
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for delivering a memorable guest experience
