General Manager

GENERAL MANAGER – SPECIALTY BEVERAGE

Description:

A new and exciting opportunity to join a growing independent quick service specialty beverage business operating within the wellness space as a General Manager. The General Manager will report directly into the company Directors.

Brief:

The primary objective of this role is to support and promote our sites by ensuring they are run to business standards while identifying and satisfying recruitment needs, reorganizing team structures and improving operational processes where required. The role requires direct management of the front of house team to provide training and ensure KPIs are exceeded. The role will also require working with external suppliers in assisting the development and growth of the business.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment/Training

- Identify recruitment needs and fulfill those needs promptly

- Direct, train and manage supervisors and FOH team to ensure quality standards and timeliness of service

- Conduct regular meetings with supervisors/FOH team in order to provide customer feedback

- Develop positive relationships with FOH team by understanding individual goals and concerns

- Review training/employee handbook and update where relevant with new procedures/equipment etc. including all method statements for FOH made-to-order products

- Set in place training sessions/refresher training covering best practices/all made to order FOH operations in addition to service and customer interaction (complaints, refunds, FAQs etc.)

- Reorganize FOH team structure as required particularly with the opening of multiple sites

Operational

- Ensuring store operations are running smoothly while managing inventory requirements

- Ensuring company standards are maintained with respect to product quality standards, Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene

- Ensuring correct procedures are followed with respect to cash handling, safety and security

- Developing relationships with suppliers with respect to stock management (consumables, coffee etc.)

- Implementing KPI or other appropriate incentive measures for FOH team

- Ensuring correct use and maintenance of equipment

Financial/Reporting

- Develop thorough understanding of business P&L

- Manage daily, weekly, monthly reports to identify strategy, trends, opportunities and areas of growth or decline within product lines etc.

- Monitor the financial impact new product launches, stock availability, wastage and more

Business Development

- Drive development of delivery capability either through 3rd delivery partners or through partnering with logistics providers

- Enhance the profile of the brand and the benefits of the concept with stakeholders

- Manage relationships with stakeholders and business partners (following-up with emails and partners for events and for catering)

- Coordinate Events (client liaison, event logistics, staffing, invoicing)

- Help ensure online content (website, delivery etc.) is live, functioning properly with adequate and redacted content

- Competitive Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 | commensurate with experience
