We work closely with our clients to deliver expert procurement services saving them both time and money and enabling them to focus on what really matters to their businesses.

Having recently grown our client base, we have identified a need for a Culinary expert to support clients with delivering the highest levels of quality, innovation, margin and safety within their organisation. This is a regional role covering sites in the North of England with the opportunity to be based from home
More about the role:
  • Provide support to Client Account Managers on all culinary matters including planning, organizing & delivering sampling sessions
  • Manage, develop & implement ‘Switch To' sessions providing insight into ingredients & develop a process to measure their performance with continuous improvement of ingredients
  • Create ‘on trend' food programs that are fully costed
  • Plan, prepare & deliver Chefs Academy Training Days to clients using colleges, universities & food schools throughout England.
  • Development and implementation of new food offers for NHS trusts providing insight into current culinary trends as per brief.
  • Responsible for internal culinary training and delivery across the business and play a supportive role in the delivery of nutrition & dietetic training
  • Lead commitments around plant forward eating & wellbeing across the business via food program recipes where there is a need in trust.
  • Actively promote our added value services internally and externally driving savings and revenue for the client.

Who you are:
  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 in Professional Cookery. A Degree in International Culinary Arts would be preferable.
  • Extensive experience in the commercial hospitality industry having held senior Chef positions for example Sous Chef, Head Chef, Executive Chef.
  • Creative food/food service background
  • Competent in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • As this is a national role you must be comfortable managing your time and planning your own diary
  • A real passion for food, service., training & personal development with a track record of managing & developing teams.
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of the process behind food, menu, and recipe development
  • An ability to demonstrate knowledge of food trends and their development in a way that is inspiring and motivating for our clients.
  • An ability to talk about catering products with confidence discussing how and why they're used plus associated specifications such as yield and allergens.
  • Understanding product evaluation & the ability to communicate their outcomes.
  • Understanding of purchasing/sourcing products/ingredients.
  • Experience of developing food concepts and implementation of these concepts
  • Experience of working in a fast paced/forward thinking environment
  • Strong people skill with an ability to communicate effectively and influence others.
  • Ability to build & maintain strong relationships with lots of different types of people
