Digital Product Manager

What you'll be doing:
It's an exciting time to join our digital team in Compass Group UK&I.

We have developed award-winning Omni Channel Digital Solutions for food and drink ordering such as apps, kiosks and kitchen management systems and are at the forefront of deploying emerging technologies such as frictionless, AI plate scanning and robotics.

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager who can implement digital product management methodologies to help shape the omni channel solution and ensure both business and customer needs are met.
More about the role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Digital Products, who is accountable for defining and designing digital technologies and the associated business strategy.

TheDigital Product Manager rolewill be accountable for development and delivery of the digital vision and strategy across all Compass sectors. Employing a range of product management methodologies to define and manage a prioritised roadmap, ensuring alignment to business vision & goals through stakeholder engagement and delivering a robust and relevant set of digital products.

Although the role is based near Birmingham, we support working from home and working from clients' sites. The wider Digital and Technology team is based in Parklands, Rubery so expect to visit this site 1-2 days a week for team collaboration and meetings (and free food and drink!).

More specifically the role will: -
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to form a complete view of business and customer requirements
  • Define and manage the product roadmap - specifically relating to "omni-channel solutions"
  • Develop strategies that align to Compass UK digital objectives and implement these strategies via the product roadmap
  • Be the main UK contact for our global digital business, building strong relationships with other product managers and delivery teams
  • Scope, document and submit digital strategy demand requests to the solution architect team for development and build
  • Work with technology partners to identify the best kit to deploy our digital solutions on
  • Produce and present clear communications at all levels to ensure buy-in to what we are aiming to achieve
  • Provide direction on mid/long-term priorities
  • Support new Sales and Retention bids by demonstrating the digital product both remotely and in person
  • Develop reports to monitor product health, ensuring KPIs are being met
  • Take responsibility for managing and evaluating PoC technology and make recommendations for inclusion into product portfolio
  • Bring to life the digital strategy with ‘art of the possible' showcases (mobile or fixed)
  • Promote and market the digital strategy within Compass UK&I using Workplace and other relevant mediums
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, data teams and 3rd parties to launch new products/features - maximising re-use across Compass Sectors
  • Promote the use of data and insight based decision making, leading to the best outcomes for our customers and the prioritisation of future work
  • Act as customer interface in partner/supplier relationships; identify necessary and/or desirable third-party technology, work with relevant teams to evaluate/select vendors
  • Contribute to Group and UK&I digital developments as required
  • Seek to be recognised externally and in the industry for the creation & delivery of transformative Digital products

  • Collaborating with overseas teams isdesirable
