We are looking for an energetic, driven, and professional person to join our team at Escape to Freight Island, Manchester, Piccadilly. This amazing event space is newly re-opened for the Spring / Summer season with regular shifts being offered.
As Forever Changes Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing all general operations within Forever Changes, owning the menu development and ordering process, staff training, and lining up activities from the wine world to work with Freight Island. You will report to the Head of Bar Operations and Head of Purchasing. The role covers a broad range of skills and requirements which are covered in the key performance indicators below.
Key Responsibilities:
Bar Operations
● Oversee the day-to-day operations of Forever Changes
● Maintain wastage below 1.5%
● Maintain a high standard of service
Menus:
● Run constantly changing menus for Forever Changes wine bar
● Work with key brand partners to maintain the offering
● Maintain brand partnerships and relationships
Team and Management
● Management of staff in FC
● Organising and arranging staff training as needed
● Undertaking staff appraisals
● Ensuring each team member has product knowledge of everything we sell
Reporting
● Providing quality reporting on stocks
● Providing quality reporting on products and sales trends
Key Skills we are looking for:
● Good communication and interpersonal skills
● Excellent supervisory skills
● Self-motivation and ability to work using own initiative and under pressure
● Deep knowledge of wet product lines
● Excellent problem-solving skills, highly organised, adaptable, and flexible
● Proven ability to provide and instill outstanding customer service
● A desire to go above and beyond and help us develop the concept
● A hard worker who takes pride in their work
● Leads with integrity, empathy, and a professional and approachable style
● Hands-on approach, but able to work strategically
● Fun, friendly, and a team-player
● Passionate about people development and engagement
● Confident working in collaboration with stakeholders and senior team, and excellent at building
Rate of Pay
Starting rate for a bartender will be from £11.30 p/h with the opportunity to increase depending on performance and experience.
Working Hours
Regular shifts will be available from Wednesday - Sunday on-site, to shift will be predominantly evening and you must be comfortable finishing as late as 2:00 am.
