Catering Assistant

Job role

To provide a catering service to the Patients of the Hospital.

To satisfy the needs of the patients whilst consistently achieving the service and product delivery standard. You will collect, store, regenerate and deliver crockery, cutlery, patient food and beverages to ward areas. You will also be responsible for serving and clearing food to/from patients.

Requirement

- acknowledge all Patients & visitors in a polite and friendly manner

- ensure patient & visitors needs are met whilst communicating menu option

- address all customers in a polite and friendly manner

- ensure any Patient & visitor queries are followed up and resolved accordingly

- keen interest to understand all products available to patients & visitors

- be flexible to assisting various departments if required

- be able to work as part of a team

- take Patient meal orders and place order with the Kitchen within timeframes

- ensure quality of food meets the requested standards

- wash, rinse and sterilise all cutlery and service equipment

- keep the ward clean and tidy at all times

- be able to follow direction

Hours:

Various shifts. Would suit someone with some flexibility with possibly weekend work.
