This month we interviewed Harry Lawrence, Talent Partner of Prezzo to learn more about why they're a great restaurant group to work for. Harry delves into their staff offering and what it is that they look for when recruiting new staff.

Why should someone choose to work for Prezzo? We’re more than just ‘Pasta, Pizza, Vino’, we’re an award-winning hospitality employer and proud of our growing reputation. Whether employees wish to gain qualifications in culinary skills, customer service or management, we offer a range of apprenticeships to suit all team members. If an apprenticeship is not the right fit, our team structure is designed to enable natural progression. We also offer ‘Prezzo Pathways’, a suite of e-learning material including British Sign Language. If employees show the right aptitude, there is no limit to their career progression.

What type of person do you try and attract to work in your business? Everyone is welcome at Prezzo. We look for passion and a willingness to learn. Potential employees should not be held back because they fear they don’t have the right skills – we have a team of dedicated individuals to support and guide staff to be the best they can be.

What advice would you offer to someone coming to interview for a job in your business? Relax and be yourself. As mentioned above, we look for passion and willingness to learn. We don’t expect people to have a CV full of skills and the perfect answer to every interview question, they can build those skills once they start with us.
