What is an EVP?

An employee value proposition is the set of benefits offered to employees in return their skills, experience and qualities brought to their position. A strong EVP will define the essence of your business, explaining how and why it stands out from its competitors.

It tells why an employee will commit to a career with your business and why any top professional working externally would choose to change employer and work for you.

The best EVP will demonstrate great company vision and will also distinctly promote an equal culture.

Unsure on where to start?
- Start by understanding your existing staff's perception of the business; why they were first attracted to apply and what it is that they value the most about their continued employment with you.

- Conduct a short staff survey and use staff exit interviews to gain better understanding of the staff values, why they found the company unique and why they have chosen to stay or leave. 
The data collected will help to establish key selling points for the business and how it fits into any new or existing staff values.


Once drafted, does it align with your company objectives?
-Does it stand you apart from your competitors?
-Does it truthfully signify what it’s like to work for the business and appeal to a broader audience?
-Will it inspire both new and existing employees?
