British pub group, JW Lees has shown that the covid pandemic did not put a stop to all things hospitality.
The group has had great success in the 52 weeks leading to March of this year, taking £8.1mil in profit before tax. This was a great turn around after experiencing a reported 6.3mil loss during 2021. Their turnover has also risen by a staggering £54.1 with their group net assets increasing by £7.1mil.
To celebrate this achievement, JW Lees plans to invest £6mil back into 24 of its pubs with £27.5mil plus £10mil cash reserves at immediate disposal to expand the group further and to purchase more freehold sites, including pubs and hotels in Northern England and North Wales.
