      Hospitality Jobs UK 2022 Annual Conference, Tuesday 22nd March

With over 200 attendees the London Excel played host to Hospitality Jobs UK’s annual conference with focus on tackling the single biggest issue facing the industry - Attracting, retaining, and developing its people.

The Conference took place in partnership with the Hotel, Restaurant & Catering annual exhibition - the UK’s largest and most prestigious business event for hospitality and food service professionals.

Dawn Bowstead, Founder of Hospitality Jobs UK, and Co-owner Nick Clover say they believe ‘this annual event is crucial to your diaries.’

Quoting Dawn, “The need for hospitality candidates has never been greater. HJUK want to ensure that the future of our sector continues to grow. We will have key industry experts sharing best practice and success stories for how to support and tackle the biggest issues facing the industry Attracting, Retaining and Developing its people.”

We were delighted to have had the best key speakers at this latest event, industry experts who shared both their extensive knowledge, best practice and success stories that they have had the chance to aid.

Our co-owner Nick Clover, joined Dawn to introduce the conference alongside, interviewing industry professionals such as Kate Nichols CEO of UK Hospitality, Mark Robson, Chair of BII and COO of Red Lion Holdings (Grosvenor Pubs & Red Mist Leisure) and Group People Director of the Grand Brighton; Andi Hirons, discussing the change in perception of Hospitality and their own personal success stories.

Further topics were discussed including ‘The Next Generation of Talent’ and ‘How to upskill industry professionals and develop their skills’ with multi award-winning British TV chef, Brian Turner and Sodexo’s Food Innovation and Sustainability director, David Mulcahy.

Karen Bosher, Executive Board Director of Greene King, who has recently been shortlisted for the BDA Awards, ‘Diversity Champion of the Year.’’

followed with a great presentation, discussing the importance of creating a diverse and inclusive environment to create a culture of equality.
